| 1995-02-11 | Buy | 45 | Ron Gregory - Garland TX USA | Bought Truck from Big Billy Barrett in Mesquite, TX. I found out from the sales guy that the former driver was Sam Mason of Dallas. He leased the truck from Evans GMC back in 1991 for three years. Sam did a lot of stuff to the truck. When the lease was over he returned the truck with 40-lb injectors and a stock chip [which I found out before I bought it, because I found the former driver]. The truck ran like crap, so I told them the truck was toast. I bought it for a really good price in 1995. | |||||
| 1996-04-01 | Other | 0 | Ron Gregory - Garland TX USA | Crankshaft broke between #5 and #6. I discovered that the former driver had offset-ground the crank for a longer stroke. That did not work. I found TRW pistons that had been shaved .070 and SBC pink rods. After nearly a year of saving money, the truck was back on the road with an original crankshaft and original rods. | |||||
